Webcast: Leave it to Beavers

On March 20th at 6 pm, join us as we welcome Brian Bangs with The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service to learn how nature’s best engineers (beaver) have incredible adaptations that make them masters of working in and modifying aquatic environments to suit their needs. For example, their ability to build dams helps store, clean, and spread water to create healthy wetlands and riparian landscapes – which is critical in the face of mounting threats from climate change and the extinction crisis.

Hurray for Brian! Maybe I’ll tune in…

Brian will also discuss the interesting biology and specializations of beavers, the role beavers play in creating habitats for other creatures, and inventive approaches to managing conflicts with beavers to facilitate coexistence.

Well I’m a big fan of coexistence, so that sounds worth our while. Click on the headline to register, It’s free and timely. II think I’ll leave you with a reminder of what a confusing month March is.
