Beaver dam analogs coming to Silver Creek
Some river habitats in the Black Hills aren’t as healthy as they could be. Why? Because they’re missing nature’s best engineer.
On Friday, local agencies and volunteer groups will trek out to Silver Creek and build beaver dam analogs. These structures mimic the environmental benefits a natural beaver dam would provide.
