I had a long chat with our Rocklin beaver buddy yesterday. At the moment they are still not ripping out the dam and she still has beavers. The dates on the original permit have expired and we aren’t sure whether they will be renewed. Based on our Martinez history I say no, it’s gone for the year unless they get emergency status. Anyway she’s still watching and waiting. Here is a recent visitor. to the doomed dam. I’m not sure why any structure that means so much to s0 many species isn’t worth protecting at all costs to CDFW,
