All in a day’s [work. Here’s the recent installation by Mike Callahan of beaver solutions for Art Wolinsky and his crew in New Hampshire. Don’t you wonder how cold that water is? Check out that beautiful big dam. Great work!
Oh and just in case you want to rest on your laurels and assume the beaver battle has been won, check out this article from Minnesota.
Trout stocking program continues
The management focus now is to connect the portions of Lost River where fish have been stocked and the DNR knows they can survive with the tributary where fish are reproducing, he said. Part of that effort includes removing beaver dams to improve fish passage on that stretch of the river.

Ohhhh puleeze. The beaver dams ruined your streams? Not the chemicals or the cows or the toxic waste? So you’re stocking up more crippled fish that will be easy to catch? That’s a relief. Since research shows that native fish like brook trout and cuttthroat can easily navigate beaver dams, but those lazy introduced browns you like so much have problems.
Sheesh.
