The Western Beaver Cooperative is offering a three part course for folks to brush up on their beaver knowledge. I am glad to see them take this on and recommend you
Western Beavers is hosting a three-part webinar series this spring focused on beaver ecology, occupancy assessment, and beaver-based restoration planning in western, high-desert systems — from the beaver’s point of view.
The series is designed for conservation practitioners working in western landscapes and is rooted in field-based experience and real-world constraints. We will focus on what actually limits beaver occupancy and long-term persistence at the reach and watershed scale, and how to plan work that supports beaver success for when they show up.
Each session will include perspectives from a range of beaver ecologists with on-the-ground experience in western systems, bringing different lenses and lessons into the conversation.
The series runs from March 4 through April 8. One registration covers all three sessions.
