Right now the beaver lodge is being taken apart in preparation for the sheetpiling being installed later this week. The city hired Skip in an effort to best mitigate the impact of the work on our beavers. When we spoke with him this morning he described installing plywood in the area where the piling will be placed to block off beaver access. However, I just got off the phone with Sharon Brown of Beavers Wetlands and Wildlife who said that plywood would be useless, and easily chewed through. She recommended metal sheeting, and I called Skip to let him know.
Your concerned eyes on this work will help.
