1922-2010 Goodnight Howard. Here is one thing he taught me that I would never have known about. There must be a million more.
I bet he would have loved beavers.

Apparently expecting something dam dramatic. I hope they made sure to take a picture of the water pouring over the top of it. Worth A Dam member LB was there, watching mother nature do her job, and noticing the camera crew show up to observe the “peril” the beavers had caused. Hmm. Slow news day? Trust me when I say that in highflows dams wash out. And the beavers later rebuild. Honest. There’s an update on the “Press” page. Oh and while you’re here, click on that sheetpile photo at the left.
Looks like “Friends of East Bay Owls” will descend on the Antioch Kiper development next Sunday. Turns out owls have more friends than beavers, and a host of riled defenders will show up and demand better treatment than eviction. I helped design the sign and put Scott in touch with some headwinds that will blow him in the right direction. I thought I’d share. If you’re interested in reminding the powers that be why its worth setting aside a few feet for wild things, write us and I’ll give the details and put you in touch with Scott. Several Worth A Dammers will be among the chorus. We’d love a host of children in owl costumes if you know of any.
Yours Owl-ways.
